Audio and video too fast on HD4200 (4030Y) when on HDMI

Dear all,

I recently bough a mini PC with a Haswell 4030Y that has HD4200 graphics and Intel Display Audio. If I connect to a TV via HDMI, all videos and music run too fast.

I have reinstalled drivers (Win 10 Pro) but it did not solve the problem. Tried in another TV via HDMI and problem persists. Audio and video are fine when using headphones via jack or bluetooth.

Any idea will be welcome!

Thanks

Hi esimon,

I would need to know more details of your system before giving to you a recommendation. Let me know which program you are using to run the videos and music; also please send to me the results of our tool Intel® System Support Utility.

Let me know how Youtube videos work.

Hi Mike,

Thanks for responding.

The issue with the high pitch happens with all programs I have tried (MS Edge, Groove music, Firefox, internet radio,...) and only when connected via HDMI. Funny enough, the youtube videos also run fast but, if I switch to the bluetooth headphones, they start playing at the normal speed.

I-m pasting below the result of the SSU scan /sorry, I didn't find out how to upload the xml file.

Please let me know if you need any more info and thanks again for the support.

Hi esimon,

Thank you for your answer. I verify your system configuration and everything looks good. I noted you are using the latest generic graphics driver 4463.

I suggest you to visit your laptop manufacturer and verify if you are using the latest BIOS, chipset and graphics driver. Pre-build systems use customized drivers, usually Intel drivers do not work.
